Now in its 6th year, BROKE LA began as a one-off event called Community Pool, eventually morphing into BROKECHELLA, an annual arts & music festival featuring 4 stages, visual art, vendors, and comedy. A true discovery fest, the re-born BROKE LA is LA's premiere destination to celebrate all things fresh and vibrant in Los Angeles, from music and art, to local vendors & businesses, visual artists and even tech innovations from LA's burgeoning startup community.
Our artists go on to grace the stages of FYF, Coachella, SXSW and other premiere destinations. Our vendors & small business partners go on to build cult audiences & national retail distribution.
The festival has grown from 200 attendees to over 5,000 and features indie, hip-hop, DJ, and comedy acts culled from an open-submissions process. In our commitment to our community, ticket and drink prices have maintained competitively low despite a fluctuating economy. We pride ourselves on premium, accessible experiences for the budget set.

The Life Cube is a community art installation which provides an engaging and interactive place for the shared expression of ambitions, dreams, goals, and wishes. The project encourages participants to look at their past, engage in the present, and set goals for the future. It is based on the artist’s belief that if you write down what you want to accomplish in life, the chances of attaining it are much, much higher!
Over the course of three successive years (2011-2013), the Artist and an ever-expanding project team designed, built, and burned Life Cubes at Burning Man. With each passing year, the versions became larger, more complex, more artistic, and increasingly interactive. Burning Man offered the Artist and his team an invaluable opportunity to develop the idea and execution of the project, engage the community, and offer thousands of people the chance to share their art and aspirations. Participants climbed, inscribed, painted, and added their personal visions to the Life Cube as the project grew larger and more interactive with each passing year, impacting more and more lives along the way.
In January of 2014, a 24 foot-square Life Cube was erected on an entire city block in the East Fremont district of downtown Las Vegas. Local artists and members of the community painted every surface, and the Cube soon became covered in evolving and overlapping murals from its many visitors. The installation in Las Vegas included outreach to artists, schoolchildren, community centers and other members of the greater area. After over two months on site, the giant Life Cube was burned in front of 10,000 ‘Cube-ists’, artists, performers, and families in a spectacular celebration!
